Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American producer and actress best recognized for her roles played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The TV show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress as well as a producer. She has a long-standing involvement in films theater and television. She began her career as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just an acclaim from critics, but also won several nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995 she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. Stage credits include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Film-wise she's most popular for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role as a regular in ABC's drama detective series High Incident earned her praises.
