Her father was the former editor of The Olympian in Washington. When she graduated from the high school in Tallahassee, Florida she began studying in Boston University. Later, the school transferred her onto Rhodes College and University of Florida. Ever since her childhood, she was a fan of performing arts and pursued dance and acting classes. The year 2006 was the year Lucy's Piano was her first performance. After college, she decided in order to relocate to LA and begin pursuing an acting profession. She starred in a significant role as a character in 17 Again in 2009. In the following year, she appeared as Alice McKee playing the main part in the fantasy action film Blood: The Last Vampire. She had her major television breakthrough when she played the role of the main character in the show titled Kings in the year 2009.
